Steam Night

  • Discussed who has been contacted, and added them to a spreadsheet.
  • Members are to follow up with their assignments and let us know as people confirm.
  • Set up again is at 5:00 and the activity goes from 5:30-6:30.
  • Everyone could be looking for a scientific scrumptious treat!

Middle of Year Data

  • Sage results were again discussed.
  • Wilson was able to be above both the state and the district standards in all areas of math, Ela, and science.
  • Dibels had an overall growth from Beginning of Year to Middle of the year.
  • Each grade made improvements.
  • Considered the SIP goals and set in motion to think of keeping those the same or adjusting those.
    • Goal #1- Students will perform at 85% or above on Math tests (CFA’s).
    • Goal #2- 85% of our students will be reading on grade level as assessed by the STAR test.
    • Goal #3- 85% of students will be proficient in writing as tested by 3 independent writing assignments a year.
    • Goal #4- Art lessons will be taught at each grade level that are directly connected to the CORE.
  • Consider Beverly Taylor option for next year.

Budget

  • $16,066.05 of this year’s budget unused.
  • It was proposed that it be used to update the computer lab.

  • It was also mentioned to use extra money to go specifically toward extra sets of popular books or series in the library.
  • Need to talk to Lisa Budge to specify those books.

Other business

  • Watched Time Bomb on the rate of High School Dropouts and how it impacts Society.
  • Let’s keep our kids in school and feeling success so they don’t have desires to quit!!
